Laser Refractive surgery [to remove glasses] – LASIK is done to remove the numbers of your eyes. We, at arham eye hospital have the state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment – Sirius to detect each & every small problems in the cornea, so after doing this examination, we get to know that the cornea is fit for lasik or not.
Lasik also has few option – C-lasik is the most commonly performed lasik in which the flap in the cornea is made by a microkeratome and there after the laser is performed by the excimer laser. The lasers are also very precise, so it gives us the best outcome, whatever your numbers are. Bladeless lasik is a procedure in which the flap is made by a femtosecond laser instead of the microkeratome.
This femtosecond laser is better to make the flap in the cornea, but it is costly. Another technique is Smile [small incision lenticule extraction], in which there is no flap made. There is only a small incision through which the lenticule made is pulled through. This is the most advanced refractive surgery but is costly.
